>Fullerton Wedding at Summit House by the "Dream Team"

Thursday, Jul. 28th 2011

>

I just posted this lovely couples engagement shoot at the Marina in Long Beach. http://jaimeehubert.blogspot.com/2011/07/long-beach-marina-engagement.html
The link above is to see their engagement shoot. Their wedding was traditionally lovely with a lot of thought and planning! This was a destination wedding for this couple as they are from Texas. They were wed the end of June at St. Norberts in Orange, and Romantics were done in the Historic Circle of Downtown Orange. Getting Ready shots were done at Embassy Suites in Brea and everything else was shot at the Summit House in Fullerton.

This wedding had what I call “The Dream Team” of wedding vendors! The wonderful list of vendors below made for a fantastic wedding. When I work with vendors like these the wedding is a guaranteed success. PRO and experienced vendors are a must for a smooth and perfect wedding. Each vendor has a responsibility on the wedding day to insure an amazing day. If the florist does not deliver the flowers in the right place, their will be none in all of the getting ready pics. If the DJ is not a wedding PRO and Emcee, then the reception will not flow and the night will not be as fun or memorable. The what I like to call, “Team Captain” for this wedding was Natalie with “A Good Affair” which is an amazing wedding coordinator. Natalie’s weddings are always well planned, gorgeous and always has an amazing team! Kenny Grill shot 2nd camera on this wedding, thank you Kenny! As a photographer, I am in charge of the timeline and a team of PROS makes my job so much easier! If you do not have an amazing team of professionals…..good luck to you and your wedding day.

>Long Beach Marina Engagement

Monday, Jul. 25th 2011

>

Love this colorful fun Engagement shoot of this super cute happy couple! The long Beach Marina was meaningful to this couple, especially the light house, which is why they chose the LB Marina for their perfect shoot. This couple just wed at Summit House in Fullerton and got married at St. Norberts, with Romantics in the historic Circle of Orange. The wedding was perfect and done by Natalie Good with A Good Affair….wedding blog to follow this week. Enjoy this cute engagement shoot, in which the couple took the images and did a reception sign in book with all of their engagement pics. Engagement shoots should reflect who the couple really is, and this couple is sweet, simple, fun, and happy in love!

>Baby’s First Photo Shoot

Wednesday, Jul. 20th 2011

>

Love New Baby Shoots in Studio, especially since I have a portable studio that I can take with me anywhere I go. New parents love the idea of not having to leave the home. You don’t have to get everyone ready, rush out with all of the loot, find parking, get out, etc, etc. So I come to the home and set up my humble studio and capture the magic of your new baby. Dad’s I have found especially love this. They never want to leave the house to go to the mall or a studio. Parents love the park too so older kids can run and play, it feel like the family is creating more memories vs. “producing” a photo shoot. Year after year I do shoot days at the park, and the kids and family look forward to this bi-annual shoot. For new babies, I find that anywhere from 2-12 weeks is great for the first baby pictures, depending on what you want to capture. I recommend studio look for the first shoot and then getting out in the world for most shoots after that. I love capturing the first and last moments of peoples lives, there is something very special about that. The images will literally be around forever! Invest in these type of shoots, they are priceless and you never get those moments again. Here is an example of a typical babies first photo shoot…..

I am only scheduled to be in Orange County two more times and the last trip is in September. So far, I will not be coming back down before the Holiday season. It is very possible a trip may be added, but as of now you must book your family shoot in August or in September. >Huntington Beach Library Engagement- Smart LOVE!

Monday, Jul. 11th 2011

>This couple was so incredibly cute and happy so there is lots of kissing going on! Congrats Kyle and Harmony on your upcoming August wedding at a PUB in OC. They are ditching the traditional wedding and having a big party and wedding at a Pub. Love uniqueness and weddings that are out of the box, and their engagement shoot is just as unique! You don’t typically think of love and sexiness at a library, but this couple will change your mind about the boring library. I have never seen so much sexiness surrounded by books. This couple made the quiet library heat up a bit. Engagement shoots should be meaningful to the couple and showcase who they really are. Kyle and Harmony have memories at the Huntington Beach Library and we just made more! 🙂 Not every engagement shoot has to be done at the beach, you can switch it up and do something different and memorable. Congrats guys, can’t wait to shoot your Super Fun wedding coordinated and designed by Natalie with A Good Affair!

>Destination River Wedding in Denver

Friday, Jul. 8th 2011

>

Destination weddings are some of the best for me to shoot. The couple has me for a lot more coverage and they are usually simple and meaningful, not to mention gorgeous! I finally got a chance to shoot a wedding in Colorado and it was beautiful. I have never shot a wedding on the river so it was a nice treat! Cindy and Trent were truly happy and had the wedding of their dreams. It was laid back and very fun despite the heat. I loved the park like setting where everything took place from the ceremony to the reception……all just feet away from a very fast running river. So cool! I had a great time, thank you so much for the trip to Denver, now I see why everyone has such great things to say about Colorado!

The river is just off to the left of the ceremony, the rushing river sound set a cool peaceful tone for the ceremony!

Images have a different feel depending on editing. The black and white above and the color below make the image different. I love variety and all color tones!
The bride and groom celebrated by renting a nearby pub with guests.

>Disneyland Wedding!!!

Sunday, May. 29th 2011

>

If you are a Disney fan then you are going to LOVE this wedding! If you are not a Disney fan…..I have to say neither am I, but Disney weddings are pretty fantastic! From the service to the food, to the gorgeous ballrooms, to the horse drawn Cinderella Carriage complete with a royal court and glass slipper holding your rings which are brought to the bride and groom mid-ceremony, it really is a treat. Mickey and Minney will even come to your wedding reception. Sound cheesy? Well it is not, it is actually classy and really well done. If you have ever wanted to feel like a princess, this is your place. As we traveled to one side of the hotel to the other, through the grounds all the little girls and even adults faces lit up to see the bride and her “court.” It was very cutesy and this couple has been together forever and has been waiting to be married for quite along time. This daytime easy going fairytale wedding truly was a delight! The reception was tipped off by Andy Nation of Just Imagine DJ. Ask him about his “Venice Dance!”

>Mission San Juan Capistrano Engagement

Sunday, May. 22nd 2011

>

First off, I LOVE this venue for engagement, couples, and family shoots. The Mission San Juan does not host weddings, but for a nominal fee you can do a photoshoot there. I know I always rave about my couples, but this couple in particular was also VERY happy and VERY into their shoot and each other!!! They are a cute couple at first glance, but then get them in front of the camera and WooHoo…..they are SUPER photogenic!!! I just LOVE them! Not to mention they are most obviously head of over heals for each other. My assistant Willie was very impressed with them, and my assistant is VERY hard to impress! I have to say again, I have never had the pleasure of shooting at The Mission in San Juan Capistrano (Orange County, Ca.) before, and it was simply amazing! At times I felt like we were in a foreign country and the pics look like we were in a foreign country. We had so much fun, and this shoot captured artistic images, funny pics, romantic and sexy steamy scenes all in one and that is what I strive for in engagement shoots! The couple as they are…in all forms…goofy, hot, and detailed simply all in one!  Sarah and Richard will be wed August 18th, 2012, at one of my favorite OC venues, Via Del Sol in Fullerton, California. The venue has a quaint Spanish theme which is an outdoor venue with the indoor feel and privacy as if you have rented your own Spanish villa. A “must see” venue to appreciate!

>Super Hot Laguna Beach Engagement part 2

Wednesday, May. 18th 2011

>

Just in case you missed the first blog on this engagement shoot I attached it below. This was a GREAT shoot, and I had a lot of images and versatility that I wanted to show. The first half of the shoot was shot in Downtown Laguna Beach, which is very urban and colorful. The downtown area has a lot of nooks and cranny’s where you can put a couple to make it look like you were at several locations. Natalie and Phil changed a few times as well to make it look like different places on different days. After we shot the urban downtown shots, we did some boardwalk and beach shooting. I am not a huge fan of shooting on the sand and/or at the beach. Unless I can use a downtown area next to the beach or it is the couples favorite place to be,  I try and talk my clients out of it. At this point, beach engagement shoots are very cliche, but if I can include things other then just the beach it can add to the shoot. With every couple the engagement shoot is about who you are as a couple, that is what I strive to capture. The love, happiness, sexy chemistry, etc. I like to capture it all and talk to the couple as we shoot to get them comfortable and forget we are shooting. I get a more natural feel when the couple is comfortable and into one another. I encourage my clients to dress how they normally would and not to get to “dressy” or formal for the shoot. That is what the wedding day is for. With this couple I really wanted some rustic and sexy shots as well, so I shot them in the brush off of the side of the road in Laguna Beach. We had a great time, Natalie and Phil are naturals in front of the camera. They will be wed the first weekend of August at the Surf and Sand in Laguna Beach coordinated by the wonderful Natalie Good with A Good Affair, and their pics are going to be AWESOME. We will do an underwater trash your dress session as well that will be tons of fun and very sexy! 🙂

>HOT Laguna Beach Engagement Shoot!

Tuesday, May. 17th 2011

>

I love this hot couple, Natalie and Phil, who will be wed in August at the Surf and Sand in Laguna Beach. Natalie with A Good Affair will coordinate their awesome wedding. They were so much fun to work with, very happy in love and laid back. Their hotness and chemistry show in this shoot….can’t wait for the wedding images! I love this shoot so much that I am doing it in 2 parts. There were too many images and the shoot was diverse, so I decided to show the urban downtown Laguna Beach shots first. We walked up and down the streets of Laguna which make it look like you are in several different places. Part 2 of their engagement shoot will be the boardwalk and sand shots in Laguna, as well as the other location which has my favorite shots, the rustic Laguna Beach Reserve. I love the rustic rock and tall grass shots. I left a few images towards the end of the blog as a “sneak peek” if you will to part 2.  Congrats Natalie and Phil, you are going to be a very gorgeous bride and groom. You are going to rock my camera! 🙂
